Hanshaw hosted multiple parent meetings last week. It was great to see so many parents engaged in learning activities that help support our Hanshaw Titans! Monday, October 16 - Golden Valley, Health and Wellness Parent meeting. The topic for the meeting was Fentanyl. Thursday, October 19 - Sierra Vista & Center for Human Services, Parent Support meeting. Mindfulness was the topic. Parents participated in mindfulness meditation, completed a mindfulness questionnaire, and participated in a mindfulness activity. Hanshaw organizó varias reuniones de padres la semana pasada. ¡Fue fantástico ver a tantos padres involucrados en actividades de aprendizaje que ayudan a apoyar a nuestros Hanshaw Titans! Lunes 16 de octubre: reunión de padres de salud y bienestar de Golden Valley. El tema de la reunión fue el fentanilo. Jueves 19 de octubre: Sierra Vista y Centro de Servicios Humanos, reunión de apoyo para padres. La atención plena fue el tema. Los padres participaron en meditación de atención plena, completaron un cuestionario de atención plena y participaron en una actividad de atención plena.

Thank you to those who attended Hanshaw's Parent Support meeting this morning. These meetings provide education, support and resources related to mental health. Sierra Vista, Center for Human Services and a Family Support Specialist provided the support for these meetings. Gracias a quienes asistieron a la reunión de apoyo para padres de Hanshaw esta mañana. So much fun happening at Hanshaw this week! It started with Ping Pong Tic Tac Toe for a lunch activity, then Friday we celebrated all students with August and September birthdays with gifts from leadership, and we rewarded students for showing school spirit with a prize wheel for wearing school colors. We are Hanshaw! We are Titans!

Congratulations to Hanshaw Middle School's 2023-24 Representatives. Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at 8am in the Hanshaw Library. All are welcome to attend. This Friday will be First Friday! Wear spirit wear, burgundy, black, or grey shirts to show your school spirit! If you do, you can spin a wheel to win a prize! Also, wearing a Hanshaw shirt will earn you an extra treat. PE clothes and pants will not count for spirit wear. Also, as part of our First Friday events, we will be celebrating all August and September birthdays! If your birthday is in August or September come to the birthday table on Friday for a gift from leadership.

Looking for something to do Saturday night? Night Hoops has begun! Organized Open Gym at Hanshaw Middle School sponsored by the Stanislaus County Police Activities League, now through May 27th, excluding holidays, Saturday Nights from 6-10PM
